Daily Duties at Damco Distribution:

 Managed team of 8 core team members including shift supervisors, clerks and yard operations team of 8 drivers.  Engaged with Senior Management to evaluate Facility P&L statistics to ensure proper Operational & Customer service processes were in place ($5.6 million annual revenue)  Maintained a yard of 550 containers to assure all steam ship lines (Maersk, NYK, MSC, CMA, K-line, Hapag Loyd, APL, Yang Ming, MOL) meet their pool targets and yard operated efficiently  Created Universal Best Practice guidelines for yard operations, traffic flow, systemic tracking, and safety.  Collaborated with Customer to establish internal benchmarks and KPI guidelines to monitor improvements.  Lead diverse project teams spanning Operations, Information Technology & Human Resources to create multi faceted processes.  Facilitated Warehouse loading patterns based on SAP production reports to meet export booking port cut offs  Lead meetings with customer and team to communicate strategy and procedures to ensure an efficient and safe daily operation.  Managed vendor relationships to ensure proper levels of staffing and to maintain equipment in an environment with highly fluctuating volumes of outbound.  Used MDSI Web EC to monitor inbound empty containers, export bookings and track outbound containers (to facilitate pick up of loaded containers and delivery of empties to maintain constant flow)  Analyzed Dray Reports to plan weekly workloads and set up appropriate shifts to match inbound volume.
