Daily Duties at Damco Distribution:

 Manage Team of 30 core team members including Managers, Supervisors, Clerks, Analysts, Customer Service Representatives and warehouse team of 100 employees equivalent to over $3.2 million dollars in full time and temporary labor costs  Lead West Coast management in negotiation of new temporary labor provider and succeeded in decreasing the percentage mark up by 4% (net labor savings of over $50,000 annually for my facility)  Oversee entire operations of 350,000 sq ft warehouse including maintenance and engineering functions such as electrical, mechanical, security, environmental health, safety, operating permits and fire protection  Responsible for overseeing all aspects of Operations, Customer Service and Quality Assurance for 15 Full Time Accounts producing approximately $11 million annual revenue  Responsible for preparing and analyzing the Profit and Loss of the facility to include all revenue per account, fixed building costs, labor costs, insurance, permits and depreciation of assets for each month and end of year close (maintained CM1 (contribution margin) of 62% for handling)  Developed method of tracking the cost of each carton moved in the facility per cents to improve cost efficiencies(successfully dropped the cost from $.28 per carton to $.21 cents which translated to a savings of $3,500 per day in labor costs)  Oversee full range of Logistical Practices including Import, Export, Drayage, Warehouse Operations (Inbound Receiving, Cross-Dock, Trans-load, Inventory Management, Pick & Pack, and Value Added Services) DC Bypass, OTR, and Intermodal, and Direct to Consumer Shipping.  Lead all aspects of 10 unique new customer start ups by interfacing with cross functional project team (including Operations, Information Technology, Engineering, Human Resources and Senior Leadership) to create and execute on detailed project plan with specific timelines and deliverables.  Create procedures to cost effectively run operations, ensure inventory accuracy, and maximize customer service using industry standards and custom tailored methodology for each unique customer  Interface with Damco Key Client Managers to ensure domestic/international supply chain operations are executed seamlessly for 5 major global customers.
