Daily Duties at Career Point Institute/National Institute Of Technology:
Managed the education departments of two proprietary career schools with enrollments of over 800 students each. Opportunities included: the development of three new Associate’s degree programs in accordance with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, management of the Business, Technology and Medical departments, supervision of approximately 36 instructors, curriculum development, text book selection, student attrition, budget expenses, and student judicial affairs. Additional duties include transcripts and diplomas, custodian of student records, new student orientations, and transfer credits. Implemented instructional staffing strategies and solutions, procurement procedures and inventory controls, and effective class scheduling that condensed and eliminated the loss of financial resources, equipment and supplies, and manpower. Estimated annual savings - $350,000. Created and facilitated staff development training workshops.
