Daily Duties at Purple Avocado Catering:

Sales and Marketing IT, Website development and Maintenance Event Planning, Design Hiring, Scheduling, Staff Development I had to ensure the daily operations of the business. Sales:= I made sure the sales staff was following up on incoming leads, getting out and meeting new people and soliciting new business. I was tracking the number sales, dollar amounts, number of visits/calls and tasting by the sales staff. I would work with the sales staff on their priorities and sales plan. Operations:= I would work with our Kitchen STaff to reduce costs and increase safety - including working with our executive chef (whom i called our kitchen manager) to execute in the kitchen. I would work with our delivery manager to ensure we had the appropriate personnel on call to make our deliveries and ensure success at full-service events. I would even jump in in deliveries and at events where needed and necessary. Accounting:= I made sure that the books balanced and worked on our budget strategy so we could start to make money - which we were on our way but i sold the company in 2010. Other: I would also follow up on leads that i received from networking events, work on and implement our marketing plan to increase exposure and hence increase sales - this included Google Pay Per Click, Website updates, and direct mail. this allowed me to increase sales from 100K in 2006 to the equivalent of 750K in 2010. I would also work with our sales assistant to ensure that teh sales department had the needed resources to bring in sales.
