Daily Duties at General Dynamics Formerly Gte:
Working in Operations engineering, I was responsible for the manufacturing processes in four workcenters, cable & harness, wire wrap, automatic test of wired systems, and small systems assembly & test. I was responsible for maintaining all processes to compliance with contract and Mil spec requirements I provided technical support to teams in these workcenters to improve product quality & reliability, to introduce new & time saving processes and technologies, to identify & initiate the purchase of new capital equipment, and to present proposed capital equipment purchases and new process development projects to upper management. Working in the Engineering FA Lab, I was responsible for Root-Cause failure analysis of fielded electro-mechanical system failures and new product Engineering Qualification System Test failures. I was also responsible for resolving in-house, outside contractor, and OEM quality, reliability, performance and process issues associated with metalworking processes, fabrication of electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, and PWA component & solder issues across all programs.
