Maintains existing user, including system security, and assigns group membership as required. Creates new users and deletes terminated users as needed. Assists with installing and maintaining local area network hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network notes, terminals, e-mail systems, virus protection, related network communications equipment and coordination of wiring. Coordinates installation of hardware and software by others. Responds to users’ needs and questions concerning their access to network resources, and the operation of various software programs.
