Daily Duties at Usis:

• Planned, supervised, and coordinated security procedures for Department of State contract for new Embassy Complex in Beijing, China, which included providing construction surveillance pursuant to DCID 6/9 for the Department of State’s Overseas Building Operations (OBO). • Ensured overall operation of technical security systems, alarms, protection barriers, Close Circuit Television (CCTV), metal detectors, Iris Scans and X-ray machines. • Managed all personnel issues, including payroll, lodging, per diem, and travel and work schedules. • Advised Site Security Manager on matters concerning technical security equipment. • Oversaw the storage and documentation of all classified material, and conducted security inspections to ensure the proper safeguarding of classified materials and documents. • Performed evidence collection to verify background information on suspects and witnesses. • Compiled collected data and formatted into concise, informative and accurate reports. • Ensured that security personnel could effectively operate all access control equipment, including Closed Circuit Television and other peripheral equipment, metal detectors and hand wands. • Produced daily, weekly, and monthly reports that were submitted to the Site Security Manager, USIS Program Manager, and Bureau of Overseas Building Operations (OBO). • As Daytime Shift lead supervised day to day duties of 15 employees. • Created work schedules for entire guard force, and ensured that guards were up to speed on all training related to duties. • Assisted with procurement/ purchase orders/ expense reports/ shipping/ receiving/ inventory/ and tracking of incoming, outgoing and on-hand supplies.
