Daily Duties at Nyfix Inc:

Experience in testing various NYSE Trading products. Testing included the Test Planning, Test Development and Execution, Test Result, Defect Tracking and Summary Report Analysis using tools such as Rational Manager, Rational Robot and Clear Quest Defect Tracking system. * Managed QA group of nine responsible for the manual and automated testing of NYSE based applications. * Team Leader and Lead Tester on applications, which are complex and generated 95% of the company revenue: * Floor Suite (consist of 19 products which are combinations of GUI applications and UNIX processes which talks trough standard FIX messages…Used by Brokers at NYSE and CME Floor). * FixTrader Suite (consist of 3 products which are combinations of GUI applications and UNIX processes which talks trough standard Fix messages…Used by upstairs Traders). * Middle Office (GUI Application used for Allocations). * Trained HandHeld users at NYSE Floor for the big releases of Floor Suite. * Implemented testing procedures from entering requirements to achieving Project Manager sign off of process by QA. Ensured all involved followed the procedures to minimize mistakes and subsequent maintenance releases. * Wrote Test Plans, Business Scenario Test Scripts and Test Cases using system design documents or verbal input and reviewing requirements with Product Managers and Developers. * Developed, ran and maintained manual and automated test procedures, to ensure only the highest quality stock exchange products would be delivered to customers. * Conducted Functional Verification of new features along with feature Regression testing, Defects Validation and Analysis. * Created and executed SQL queries to verify the data information are stored correctly in the corresponding Database. * Checked FIX messages to ensure each application passes correct information to each other. * Analyzed test results and pinpointed the cause of failure. * Installed, configured and maintained the QA environment. * Maintained databases for testing environment. Dumped and Reloaded databases to test DB Rolls and DB Rollbacks in emergency.
