Daily Duties at Chicago Public Schools:
Provided leadership and direction for the implementation of all activities pertaining to the AV, Arts and Communications cluster. The program was comprised of 24 schools, 38 teachers, engineers, and over 2800 students. Managed a 1.1 million dollar budget. Established partnerships with business and industry leaders, promoting industry-based competencies and cluster standards; coordinating professional development activities, promoting industry certification and/or credentialing. Served as a liaison between the Office of High Schools and High School Programs and the Department of College and Career Preparation concerning the acquisition of state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. Identified and secured appropriate work-based experiences for students and teachers. Developed curriculum for the purpose of establishing articulation agreements with post-secondary institutions.
