Daily Duties at Bfc:

Business Continuity Officer for all subsidiaries and vested entitities - BankAtlantic, Bluegreen, Benihana, Woodbridge, Levitt Homes, etc. All components of business continuity program- approx 8 companies- different industries- different sizes,different requirements. Risk Assessment, Business impact analysis, plans, training, event management. Responsibilities: Community Awareness, Resiliency, Business Impact Analysis, Program Budget, Crisis Management, Data Center Recovery, Enhancing Executive Support and Buy-in, Executive Program, Facility Evaluation, Gap Analysis, Leadership, Mainframe recovery, Measuring Program’s effectiveness, Network recovery, Pandemic planning, Program Development, Program Documentation, Program exercises, Program Implementation, Program Management, Program Training/Awareness, Risk Assessment, Software Implementation, Availability Planning, Strategic Planning, System Recovery, Vendor Evaluation and Management • Manage the Business Continuity Program, Policy and Plans for over 6000 employees, 4 companies, over 500 buildings, across the United States. • Coordinate and maintain 225 Business Unit Plans, Coordinators and mentoring each plan. • Developed an IMMEDIATE THREAT (Terrorist/Hostage) policy and program (including training, materials and rollout of program) ; VIOLENT ACT policy, program and training; and PANDEMIC PLAN • Performed Business Impact Analysis and Risk Assessments, annually • Lead for all crisis/event situations • Created Awareness Programs, lunch and learns, online trainings and intranet representation • Coordinate and managed all recovery tests; ensuring recovery and restoration of the several different networks and applications, as well as regional testing. • Reporting to the CEO and Boards. • Maintained control of outsourced technology for DR responsibilities and contractual mediations and compliance (Vendor Management) • Created test templates, scripts and promotional materials. • Annual Executive presentation and report • Managed 1 million plus budget • Participated in various projects as analyst with Business Continuity interest (Local public recovery and emergency tests) • Represents Private Sector participation in many county and state Emergency Operations Centers • Audit liaison for all Business Continuity queries (public/private/regulatory)
