Daily Duties at Av Med:
• Model physician group contracts in negotiation to determine impact of proposed rate changes on unit costs, including auditing current configuration and claims payment • Monitor performance of large physician groups in relation to expected cost and utilization trends • Develop ad-hoc reports for service representatives, providing claims adjudication detail for discussion • Provide oversight to two data analysts – assigning projects, monitoring progress and reviewing results before distribution • Perform claims payment reviews and develop scenarios for possible resolutions of disputed amounts, including responsibility for determining total dollars due and providing supporting data for resolution of payment disputes and law suits. • Perform contract reviews for compliance with contracting standards and resolve omissions and discrepancies with contracting reps • Coordinate efforts for ITNs, RFPs and RFIs, including initial review of responsibilities, follow-up and submission • Department liason to multi-departmental team planning for transition to ICD-10
