Daily Duties at Computer Sciences Corporation:
My job is to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain counter -IED systems on military vehicles.• Apply comprehensive subject matter expertise of multiple communications/electronics systems to install Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Defeat Systems in military combat vehicles. • Use technical skills to distinguish between hardware/software problems in multi-vendor systems. • Perform technical inspections, operational tests, preventative maintenance, and complex repairs on communications/electronic equipment, large computers, minicomputers or microprocessors, including buses for those associated with a networked environment. • Refer to wire diagrams, schematics, and manufacture publications, ensuring proper installation. • Provide guidance, instruction, and training to DoD customers in upkeep of IED Defeat Systems. • Communicated regularly with technical representative from Communications/Electronics Command and Tank Automotive Command to resolve systemic quality, supply, and spare issues. • Utilize and trained Field Service Representatives on the use and operation of Universal Test Set (UTS), Automated Test Equipment (ATE) to test circuit boards, integrated circuits, performs self calibrations using test and troubleshoot software programs. • Solves problems using test equipment to include computerized testing, Radio Frequency Spectrum Analyzers, Signal generators, and oscilloscopes, wiring diagrams, schematics and observation. • Uploads new software, firmware, and threat loads. Used programs such as Xilinx to configure impact project files, Field Loader, Impact 8.2 &10.1 and the AUT P49/P31
