Daily Duties at Shoals Surgical Group/Shoals Vein Center/Madison Vein Center:
I performed pre-surgical venous duplex studies to evaluate for deep vein thrombosis and the severity of any varicosities present, screening for venous insufficiency, and post-surgical studies to evaluate the success of venous closure. I was trained in surgical procedures with the physicians, including assisting in the VNUS Closure surgeries. I also traveled three days a week to our satellite office in Madison, Alabama where I was responsible for ultrasound, nursing duties, and for maintaining all medical supplies.
