•Directed $29M global digital asset initiative from strategy through implementation overseeing global teams that delivered all milestones on time and at budget. Developed tactical approach, designed solutions, and implemented technologies to achieve defined strategy. Initiative resulted in new and modified application solutions, new business processes, re-organization, and policy changes to oversee digitization, storage, and distribution of assets. Revenue generated through networked digital asset distribution in a pay-for-product model, reduced costs of media exchange ($2M p.a.), and improved interaction with business partners. Legacy distribution, royalty, and sales systems modified to accommodate digital media distribution. • Defined and implemented enterprise-wide technology strategy and coordinated efforts between locations to reduce redundant spend. Leveraged Austrian manufacturing and process expertise and systems through Australia and Canada to eliminate projected spend for local IT and business implementations of $3M per. Developed pro-forma solutions allowing for customized international deployment rather than country specific deployments (small/mid country rights and distribution systems) – reduced roll-out and on-going support costs through rationalization and consolidation of redundant solutions. International IT staff reduced to one resource in small countries with remote support from corporate offices. • Improved business visibility to international sales via a new web-based sales dashboard with improved user interface, reporting, frequency and accuracy of information from country-specific sales systems; retired existing sales reporting systems reducing IT support costs while improving business decision making.. • Carried out strategic planning, business case development, and implementations of financial and administrative solutions across seven manufacturing, distribution, and corporate locations. Systems included PC- and Unix-based client server, AS/400, and mainframe solutions. Instilled metrics-based approach to project prioritization and funding that improved strategic IT / business alignment. • Replatformed and consolidated legacy systems to client server through full project life cycle resulting in reduced reliance on isolated, niche programming staff and more efficient technology. Developed ‘common solution’ approach to JD Edwards Financial systems (AP, GL, FA) across manufacturing and distribution facilities. Resolved failing PeopleSoft Human Resources project within original budget by implementing testing and change control methodologies to successfully integrate with payroll and meet business objectives of reducing paper-based applicant, personnel, and benefits processing. Eliminated temporary positions and overtime in Disbursements while doubling invoice volume through implementation of Accounts Payable Imaging and workflow solution and streamlined business processes. • Redesigned business processes and finance functions roles enabling reduction of monthly financial close process by three weeks and consolidation of manufacturing/distribution financial resources into US Shared Services. • Improved employee morale and retention across US IT organization through focus on career development opportunities, improved communications, and a group intranet. Co-authored training program with HR. Additionally resulted in cross-department IT transfers, improved departmental communication, and collaboration.
