Descanso Beach Club Work Values

Daily Duties at Descanso Beach Club:

Managed the smooth operations of the beach club while managing multiple priorities simultaneously including several parties ranging from 20 to 1,000 guests occurring at the same time, overseeing the restaurant, bar and beach. Conducted daily ordering from multiple vendors keeping in mind the weather, as all supplies were either flown or barged to island. Depending on the weather supplies might not arrive so had to plan accordingly. Negotiated, booked, planned, scheduled, coordinated and supervised all aspects of special events. Lead by example and provided outstanding customer to all our our guests which resulted in repeat business, year after year. Hired all entertainment and bands for Friday and Saturday nights, Dancing under the Stars. Wrote the employee handbook and job descriptions. Interviewed, selected, trained through on the job training, mentored and scheduled 50 employees who were customer focused and provided exceptional customer service.
