Retained to play integral role in 3-year, $48M project to convert legacy applications from UNISYS mainframes to Client Server environment comprising Hewlett Packard Production Servers (UNIX/Oracle), Compaq Mid-Tier Servers (Novell), and IBM PCs (NT). Liaised with operations owners for network, systems, PC Services, and IBM/City Project Team Managers regarding Detroit Resource Management System (DRMS) objectives, project tasks, and requirements. Met with Department Directors and other management to present proposals, research operational alternatives, coordinate contract requirements, and communicate issues, progress, and results.
