Daily Duties at Caremed Pharmaceutical Services:
Financial Assistance Coordinator • 2011 to Present Assess patients based upon diagnosis and ICD9 codes in order to identify programs that will finance and/or assist in the cost of medication therapy. Gather and submit necessary documentation and complete applications to secure financial assistance for patients. Verify insurance benefits, explain benefit structure per insurance policy to patients. Resolve billing errors in the IPS system, submit claims for reimbursement, and research new assistance programs. Maintain relationships with existing programs for referrals and leverage in urgent cases.
