Daily Duties at Meijer Inc.:

Principal duties included acting as direct representative of the company to the community, team members, and management staff. Reporting to me were six line managers, thirty-five department managers, and five hundred and seventy five hourly associates. I inspected the store daily for standards of service, sanitation, merchandising, and created and implemented methods for improving same. Successfully settled disputes with labor union, and settled customer disputes as well. Effectively worked with non-profit charities and local media in promoting company philosophy and community involvement efforts. I researched and analyzed decisions made at corporate, and how they impact store operations, recommending any changes. I ensured that managers have the tools and skills they needed, and provided training if they lack in any area. In addition, I managed legal compliance issues, financial transaction controls, and planned and adjusted all budgets/expenses within the store. I directly oversaw the Pharmacy Operations, and Loss Prevention areas of our store.
