Daily Duties at Carries Service/Tandem Transport:
Dispatch first in, first out of loads for 50 drivers in 7 states accomidating 300+ customers. Schedule maintainance of tractors and trailers with mechanics. Lease equipment when needed in case of break down on the road or if oone of the tractors was down for service. Makinmg sure all customers had loads picked up in a timely manner by thinking ahead as to what the customer might need. That is to say, spotting trailers at their facilities for loading when ready. Co-ordinating with customers if there were a snow storm up here in the midwest to find other ways of getting parts to the companies using air freight means until our drivers were able to get to the customer with their load.
