Daily Duties at Starwood Vacation Ownership:
Responsible for the daily operations of the International Joint Venture including but not limited to managing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, billing, collection, payroll, financial reports, interpersonal communications with the Joint Venture partner, intercompany accounts reconciliation, analyzing/researching operational expenses and resolving related issues. • Reconciled and maintained general ledger accounts. • Prepared and posted journal entries. • Prepared financial statements for quarterly board meetings and compiled budget forecast reports for year-end meetings. • Participated in special projects and performed additional analysis as needed. • Provided support for internal and external audit as well as preparing financial statements. • Communicated/worked with employees on the Island (Bahamas) and the Joint Venture partner company to coordinate month-end close and information needed for month-end close. • Assembled, reviewed and submitted all wires including payroll wires to be paid to the designated party on a timely basis and ensured the timeliness and accuracy of payments. • Prepared monthly cash forecast and outstanding wire status schedules.
