Daily Duties at Cvs :

input and verify physician orders and put into computerized patient profile system(RX connect), maintain and review patient profiles for therapeutic usage, duplication, drug-drug interactions, drug-disease interaction, under or over utilization, provide drug information to physician/nurses/medical assistants/patients, gather all pertinent patient information or drug history, communicate with physicians/nurses/other healthcare professionals concerning patient medical needs, prepare and refill prescription medication, assist physicians in drug selection, provide patients with drug selection assistance, provide drug counseling, supervise pharmacy technicians/interns/externs, verify prepared medications of pharmacy techs/ interns/externs, oversee all pharmacy operations, adhere to all hippa and pseudoephedrine laws, prevent drug diversion, assure that pharmacy dept follows all federal and state pharmacy laws, keep accurate drug inventory including control substances, place drug orders, perform employee evaluations
