Daily Duties at Bureau Of Economic Analysis:

Project Management • Manage division’s county unemployment insurance project and methodology change. • Receive 20 states’ records including extended benefits and emergency unemployment. • Oversee SAS simulation using raw data and the Labor Department number of unemployed. Analytical Reasoning • Identify relationships and data trends, successfully reducing errors by 50%. • Employ new mathematical and statistical methods of obtaining, analyzing and evaluating data. Economic & Statistical Research • Subject Matter Expert in Education, Medicare , Unemployment, Taxation, and Veterans Affairs. • Discover four new estimates: Childcare Tax Credit, Academic Competitiveness Grant, Medicare Part D, and 2008 Economic Stimulus. • Receive $1600 Pay for Performance Award, $525 Step Increase and $350 On-the-Spot Cash Award • Create standard and exception edit buttons to flag outliers and eradicate errors. • Use SAS A/F to build state and county frames for entire division. Communication & Interdepartmental Relations • Collaborate and review economic and other analytical work programs with management, ensure consistency with division’s validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy needed to plan, budget, recommend and prepare policy reports objectives. • Demonstrate commendable leadership and management aptitude by successfully completing the Aspiring Leaders Development Program while consistently exceeding performance expectations.
