As a principal scientist, I worked on 3 main projects: Lipoic acid synthase, Suppressor of Cytokine Signaling and analgesia targets. I had to develop screens for target validation; organize collaborations with vendors and experts; keep up-to-date on target literature; prepare manuscripts for publication; keeping abreast of literature for new targets to support new projects; present results to colleagues internally and externally; complete safety and radioactivity training; manage resources for projects; standard molecular biology techniques for making plasmid constructs; process animal tissues and use animal models in my studies.
