Daily Duties at U.S. Department Of Energy:
Directs all technical Project Management responsibilities related to multiple Advanced Biomass power and fuel generation projects, Photovoltaic Generation projects, and Advanced Fossil Energy projects. o Technical lead on project teams conducting due diligence on numerous projects and aided in the closing process of projects totaling over $5 billion in project costs. o Collaborates with the DOE Deal Team for financial, market and legal due diligence reviews. o Collaborates with National Labs and other DOE offices to utilize knowledge base for innovative technologies. o Supports DOE team in deal structuring, term sheet negotiation, credit analysis for senior debt investments in first-of-kind commercial scale solar power generation, solar manufacturing, and bio-fuel ventures. Responsible for standing up monitoring procedures for multiple projects and continues to actively monitor risk, schedule and budget of projects. The monitoring activities are the basis for the Borrower to receive loan advances. Supervisor of contractors for both general programmatic support contractors and project specific contractors. Develops procurement documents to select DOE engineering support specific to projects in Portfolio. Heads up preparation and presentation of written communications to senior DOE, Treasury, and Whitehouse officials regarding technical details of applicant’s projects. Reviews and scores incoming applications for technical merit and eligibility
