Daily Duties at Monroe Public Schools:

MONROE PUBLIC SCHOOLS, Monroe, CT 2009 - Current Human Resources Generalist Provide support and direction (employee relations, hiring policies & practices, benefits administration, procedural guidelines related to HR, negotiating contracts of bargaining units, OSHA requirements and regulatory & legal compliance) for a client group of 600 (principles, teachers & school staff) and supervises the HR assistant. • Consult with principles, teachers and school staff on benefits (medical, dental, disability, workers compensation, life & retirement) and partner with Ovation on COBRA administration. • Implemented a wellness committee focused on educating all staff on Health & Wellness topics. Created an Exit Interview process to gather feedback on positions held in the district. • Conduct periodic studies concerning staff, staff utilization, deployment, turnover and absenteeism. Prepares various reports (Medicare coordination, seniority tables, health claims and FMLA tracking) for the Board, State/Federal agencies and various professional/private organizations.
