Daily Duties at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center:

Primarily function--Diabetes educator working in the hospital setting, providing patients, and family basic survival skills for diabetes self management. Works diligently with nursing and medical staff to increase diabetes knowledge, and enhance proficiency in the care of the diabetes patient. Supervises, educates, and collects outcome data associated with the computerized software program that manages IV insulin within the hospital. Uses creative teaching techniques to empower and facilitate understanding of diabetes, while meeting the practical, emotional and social needs of patients
