Daily Duties at H K Contractors, Inc.:
I was hired to obtain large civil works construction projects for the company and to provide support and technical assistance for their profitable construction. Provide accurate and complete project take-offs, cost estimates, proposals, and bids. Provide oversight and support for cost estimates, proposals, and bids by senior technical staff. Troubles shoot and integrate improvements to the company estimating system. Specify equipment requirements for project construction and provide recommendations and budget information for capital equipment purchases. Present project overview to construction staff and identify specific items of work that are critical to successful project completion. Provide project scopes, budgets, and schedules. Define the scope of work and solicit proposals from subcontractors and suppliers. Review and approve technical reports and submittals by subcontractors and suppliers. Produce documentation for change orders, progress payments, and project close out. Provide oversight and support for construction staff by defining construction methods and procedures and recommending changes and adjustments to improve efficiency and meet client expectations.
