Daily Duties at Mead & Hunt, Inc.:

While employed with Mead & Hunt, Randy Page worked on a number of military projects for the Air and Army National Guard in California and Oregon. As Senior Architect, responsibilities included: defining project program requirements; preparing concept design options, developing selected architectural concepts; feasibility analysis; building code analysis; concept budget reports; site and building planning with local regulatory agencies; agency presentations; and assembly of construction bidding plans, details and specifications. While providing design services for new or remodeling projects on these military bases he participated in field surveys to document primary structures on the site, key relationships to site utilities and circulation, as well as relevant design, significant details, materials and context of adjacent buildings to remain. Work provided for Air National Guard projects complied with minimal requirements for LEED Silver certification. For selected projects Randy also provided on-site observation and construction administration design services through final inspection.

What they like about Mead & Hunt, Inc.:

Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
