Daily Duties at Bodensteiner Implement Co.:
Manage the Service Department of a larger John Deere dealership. Develop and maintain relationships with customers and sell them our services. Generate and process work orders. Gererate service quotes, and negociate pricing with customers when needed. Collections of delinquent accounts. Provide warranty service and file warranty claims for several differant vendors. Schedule work to be done and assign tasks to the Technicians. Communicate with customers on work that is needed and or problems incurred. Help Technicians diagnose difficult problems and make decisions on best way to proceed with the repairs. Schedule all trucking of equipment to and from suppliers and customers. Perform annual employee reviews, take diciplinary actions if needed. Hold monthly safety meetings with employees and discuss with them what ideas they have to make the shop safer and more profitable. Handle complaints from customers in a timely manner and handle employee problems that arise. Evaluate and assign technician training to keep their certifications current and educated on new products. Work with Sales Department and get new equipment set up and used equipment reconditioned in a timely manner. Hiring of employees to fill vacancies or to expand the workforce. Manage entire Service Department in a safe, ethical and profitable manner.
