serve as principal legal adviser to senior executives and /or leadership teams managing the Cornerstone business, Managed Markets, Compliance, Operations(including Supply Chain and QA), HR, state and federal government affairs; manage and lead a department( with a budget of $4million) consisting of 9 attorneys and 4 paralegals responsible for providing all legal support for: a portfolio of commercialized products with annual US sales of approximately $10 billion including counseling on product liability, FDA labeling, FDA promotional/marketing and life-cycle management issues and anti-kickback questions; managed markets contracting and government pricing matters; compliance department policy formulation and compliance investigations; domestic and international Procurement Dept. contracts; HR advice and HR litigation; corporate governance for US based entities; antitrust counsel related to marketing initiatives and licensing and other alliance transactions; support of federal and state government affairs department in assessing the impact of pending federal and state legislation. Also responsible for all performance management issues related to staff including annual performance reviews, compensation awards, formulation of annual performance objectives and formulation of individual staff development plans. Served as member of US legal dept. leadership team responsible for overall management of US legal department, formulation of department policies and and succession planning.
