Daily Duties at Chubb Group Of Insurance Cos:
June 1974 to November 1974 Filing and pulling of insurance policies for underwriters and insurance adjusters. November 1974 to 1977 Claims department receptionist. Answered telephones; typed up claim payments; typed letters; and completed paperwork for salvage and subrogation recoveries. 1977 to 1980 Investigated, settled and negotiated smaller auto claims. 1980 to 1999 The last years while working at Chubb my title was Senior Property Claims Examiner. While handling property claims, I was responsible for investigating, evaluating and negotiating first party homeowners and commercial property claims. The majority of the claims were homeowners. I issued payments, obtained police reports, and obtained loss documentation from policyholders. I acted as a liaison between claims department personnel and Insureds and Agents. I conducted some training within the property unit for all trainees, underwriting trainees, interns and/or other employees.
