Daily Duties at Independent Insurance Co. Inc.:

(1) Trained two underwriters and two support staff persons to underwrite, market & process risk orders. (2) Developed production plant. (3) Got company licensed and appointed in 26 states within first 10 months of operation. (3) Wrote company's procedural and contractual forms manuals; (4) Collected/composed/presented training materials. (5) Composed insurance contracts and endorsements along with related procedural manual. (6) Worked with H.O. Legal; Marketing; and General Services Support staffs to accomplish many of the above tasks. (7) Worked with Human Resources when recruiting prospective staff additions toward hiring or "passing" on applicants. (8) Negotiated and placed reinsurance support as needed on both single risks and books of business when appropriate. (9) Conducted joint marketing trips with underwritiers as part of their training and development. (10) Went on conference marketing trips with company's President to meet and greet both appointed & prospective brokers. (11) Due to my identification and recommendation, company appointed 20 brker-producers withing 10 months.
