Daily Duties at Cardinal Health:
Responsible for managing EHS programs and regulatory compliance for a medical supply kitting and distribution facility in Fort Mill, SC along with a cross dock operation in Charlotte, NC. * Provide leadership, strategic planning and subject matter expertise that ensures appropriate EHS systems and resources are in place. * Lead facility goal setting, monitor performance and report on progress. * Provide technical expertise in the implementation of the Cardinal Health EHS Management System. * Apply ergonomic principles to improve working environment and reduce injuries. * Conduct detailed trend analyses and develop plans to address identified root causes. * Assist in the creation of a culture that embraces EHS. * Actively participate in the investigation of significant EHS incidents and ensure timely and complete implementation of corrective actions. * Manage disability, workers compensation and return-to-work programs. * Manage all EHS assessments and audits and drive closure of findings. * Coordinate effective EHS training and the retention of EHS records. * Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations. Manage waste reduction and sustainability initiatives. * Drive EHS performance through risk assessment and continuous improvement initiatives. * Advise business unit and facility management on EHS matters.
