Daily Duties at May Institute:

I supervised 12-18 direct care staff to ensure the quality of the Adult Day Habilitation program-I ensure that staff were working with the individuals established objectives daily and provide feedback and suggestions on approach creatively to motivate the individuals to achieve their targeted objectives. I coordinated the daily activities and programs for 26 individuals- Some of these individuals participate in a program call meals on wheels where they would pick up hot meals and they would deliver the meals to mostly elderly homes or apartments accompanying by staff. I conducted monthly and/or quarterly reports on individuals goals in the day program, as well as behavior management meetings- In attempt to evaluate the objectives to see whether it or they need to be change and if that is the case I would contact their coordinator who is a person that I keep in touch with regarding their goals or anything that pertain to the individual in his/her caseload and we will come up with solutions to try to address the issue or issues. I created monthly staff training checklists and on-site evaluations of future placement environments as needed I instituted in preparation plans for QUEST and CARF accreditation- The have certain standard that the company has to adhere to another to obtain certification from them for the year. Such standard will entail staff are documenting appropriately , following , documenting appropriately regarding the individuals objectives, how many fire drills are conducted monthly, quarterly , monthly documentation on the individuals objectives etc.
