Daily Duties at Tri City Storm:
I was the official play-by-play broadcaster of the Tri-City Storm. My job was to call the game action and conduct pre-game interviews, drawing on my strong knowledge of the team and the local sports team as well as the dozens of relationships within the organization and community that I had nurtured on a day-to-day basis. I analyzed statistics, memorized player names and numbers and maintained relationships with players, player parents, coaches, front office members, fans, and the general community as liaison between them. I wrote intriguing introductions for each game and I also assisted the VP of communication in setting up the audio connection and video feed as well as provide help to the local media whenever they needed information about the team.
What they like about Tri City Storm:
You give high priority to hiring firms with prestige. Market reputation and prestige of a firm may be determined through on-line research, and conversations with individuals working in your target industry. Note that firms "in the public eye" receive a great deal more critical publicity and attention than those operating with more anonymity. So as you assess your employment opportunities, be sure to seek out the positive aspects of the firm's reputation in addition to noting negative publicity the company may have received.
