Ensures timely delivery of a product to a customer. Ensures adequate driver staffing by anticipating workload and hiring and maintaining the appropriate level of over the road drivers. Distribution and management of plant distribution controllable expenses such as fuel cost, gross vehicle weight, lease expenses and repair expenses. Optimizes equipment utilization and availability thought effective scheduling of deliveries. Work in P&L to keep cost in line. Compliance with all federal, start and local restriction and regulations with hours of service of service hazardous materials, travel path restrictions and weight limits.
