Daily Duties at Turner Construction Company:

 Hired to help develop a newly established divisional office for Turner Construction.  Served as Project Manager to construct a challenging high rise condominium ($117 million 15-story condominium (341 units, concrete structure / 750 KSF)) located in downtown Las Vegas  Collaborated with designers, owner, owner’s representative, subcontractors and city officials and managed an 18 person project staff.  OPERATIONS AND PLANNING: • Overall coordination of all project from buy out to completion. • Manage, coordinate, and direct project staff with project schedules, labor allocation, field conditions, quality controls, budgets / cost impacts, and subcontractor issues. • Troubleshoot project issues and concerns and implement solutions that arise with project. • Coordinate and communicate with architects, engineers and owner's representatives regarding any issues.  ESTIMATING / PROJECT BUYOUT / BUDGET MONITORING / JOB ACCOUNTING: • Estimate project's construction costs and assemble project estimate, including price materials and labor for bids for various projects • Coordinate Value Engineering process to meet Owner budget needs • Plan, analyze, and monitor project budget and process change order requests • Develop and negotiate contract scope for contracts with subcontractors, consultants and purchase orders • Review, process, and approve payment applications for both general contractor’s and subcontractors’  SCHEDULE DEVELOPMENT & MONITORING: • Prepare and review project schedules to ensure that projects are completed to meet client needs • Schedule labor and communicate with owner and subcontractors regarding; field coordination, manpower, and project schedules to ensure job progress and deadlines • Meet with subcontractors to discuss, project schedules and lead times for key material orders  RISK MANAGEMENT: • Implement Contractor Safety Program • Review subcontract insurance requirements • Manage insurance and bonding for projects
