Daily Duties at 134th Arw/Ce, Air National Guard:
Project Manager for several construction projects on base, including an $800K remodel of the Technical Education Center Distance Learning TV Studio, building the new $400K Base Hazmat Pharmacy, remodeling the Base Operations building, and overseeing the design of the $1.2M remodel of the Dining Hall and Medical Facility. Project manager for the new $400K Mobility Storage Warehouse for the 228th CBCS. Led the Design Working Group during all phases of design, including Civil, Mechanical, Utilities, Plumbing, and Electrical disciplines. Reviewed all drawings for accuracy and proper engineering detail. Developed cost estimates for Type A and B services. Developed cost estimates and contracting package for the design and construction phases of the project. Managed construction of the project from demolition to the final punch list. Project Manager for Base Hazmat Pharmacy in 1998-1999. Led the Design Working Group during all phases of design, including Civil, Mechanical, Utilities, Plumbing, and Electrical disciplines. Reviewed all drawings for accuracy and proper engineering detail. Developed cost estimates for Type A and B services. Developed cost estimates and contracting package for the design and construction phases of the project. Managed construction of the project from ground breaking to the final punch list. During the design and construction phases of building the 228th CBCS Mobility Storage Warehouse in 2001-2002, approved all construction material submittals, to include concrete mix design for the slab, asphalt mix design for the parking lot, all electrical wiring and fixtures, sewer pipe, placement, and routing; gas service pipe connections and routing; all plumbing pipe and fixtures; air conditioning units and installation, wall and floor finishing materials, framing and roofing materials. Monitored all site and civil work for proper siting, grade, soil compaction, proper footer installation, and proper concrete slab installation. Met with the contractor superintendent weekly to discuss the construction progress, methods, and resolve any technical problems that arose during construction.
