Daily Duties at D & K Engineering:
Assistant Controller April 2006 – Present • Manage monthly, quarterly and yearly close process of local and international locations; ensure compliance of all statutory obligations. • Prepare and analyze financial statements, compare actual outcome with planned results, note variations and advise management of deviations, recommend corrective actions. • Examine financial statements to determine inefficient operational areas and opportunities with higher gains. • Ensure Accounting department staff obtains essential training, knowledge, and resources crucial for completing assigned responsibilities. • Provide business support to Director of Operations including coordination of annual physical inventory, standard bill of material cost rolls, and analysis of purchase price variances. • Assist CPA firm with filing of Federal and State tax returns. • File sales and use tax returns, provide cash flow analysis and manage treasury functions.
