Daily Duties at Insurance Auto Auctions:
Provided expert technical support on internal systems as required to include 15 locations on the west coast and Hawaii. I supported all POS machines during fluctuating auction days. The expertise I gained by working here with the vast amount of users and locations proved to be very rewarding. My hours were long but I really enjoyed the work and the constant interaction with the end user. I had built up a very strong relationship with everyone by building trust and integrity. Getting in there to get the issue fixed as soon as possible so revenue could continue to flow. I would try and show the user what I did to fix it so they new what to do if it happened again. That of course was optional. Dot-Matrix printer support was a daily occurrence. I also supported on site or remote insurance companies on IAA's proprietary auction application. We typically had 2-3 POS terminals at each insurance companies location. I have excellent customer service skills and with the demands at IAA is where I learned to be calm and do everything I could to put their mind at ease while I fixed the problem at hand. My superiors were extremely happy with my strong work ethic.
What they like about Insurance Auto Auctions:
You highly value a work environment built on a formal structure, rules, and regulations. You do not enjoy the unpredictability of shifting priorities and deadlines that upset your routine. You require and enjoy direction, input and accountability as part of your work environment. You have a strong need to participate in making key decisions and feel left out if your superiors or co-workers do not seek your input when making decisions. You thrive on providing good customer service to both internal or external customers, and doing so makes you feel good.
