Daily Duties at Ferrier Hodgson:

Promoted to supervisor position for top Corporate Recovery and Turnaround firm in Australia. Supervise 3-4 accountants and oversee financial analysis, A/R, A/P, statutory requirements and trading operations of external appointments. Develop and maintain external financial relationships (e.g. banks, lawyers, insurers) and constantly look for ways to strengthen overall financial performance. • Design and maintain financial models for various sectors including retail, restaurant, hotel, manufacturing and financial industries. Companies turnovers ranged from $500,000 - $10m. Budget and forecast for periods of 10 weeks – 2 years. Comprehensive financial and business analysis of various businesses across several sectors. Prepare reports to stakeholders (generally banks) on the financial status, trends and ongoing viability of the businesses. Prepare recommendations for ongoing operations. Control business operations of various businesses whilst conducting a sale of the business of behalf of lenders. Review company operations and implement cost saving strategies and more efficient policies and procedures through creative problem solving techniques. Maintain monthly financials including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, accounts payable and receivable for appointment.
