Daily Duties at Aac/Ins:
Top Secret security clearance. Functions as Special Security Office staff member in a military SCI facility/center (SCIF). Implements effective security procedures for the protection of classified information at the SCI level. Ensures that all SCI is properly accounted for, controlled, transmitted, transported, packaged, safeguarded and destroyed by authorized means IAW DOD 5105.21-M-1. Demonstrates strong customer service and communication skills. Processes and coordinates security clearance activities, adjudication, and filing in support of agency Security and Counterintelligence Directorate, including access certifications for incoming DTRA visitors. Forwards access certification on indoctrinated DTRA persons to other government agencies and contractor facilities. Recommends the suitability of personnel for access, collects personnel history data, reviews the information collected, coordinates an appropriate background investigation with OPM and tracks investigation. Maintains local special security office files and supports the maintenance and administration of the command's security database. Helps develop and deliver security indoctrination briefings/debriefings; process visit certifications; continuously reviews personnel security reportable items. Develops/modifies personnel security operating procedures and security education materials. Complies with all Corporate and Customer Policies, NISPOM, DOD 5200 series and DCID 6 series directives. Prepares reports and briefings as required. Receives technical guidance from Government Special Security Officer.
