Daily Duties at Health Net Inc.:
• Manage the financial close process for the Northeast Division. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements; establish key financial measurements; monitor actual vs. forecast; and manage variance reporting. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company guidelines. • Review, analyze and sign off on balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow statements and account analyses. • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual executive reporting packages; provide strategic financial support to senior management including communication of risks and opportunities. • Coordinate internal, external and SOX audits. • Assist in the preparation of forms 10K, 10Q and other SEC filings. • Research and reconcile inter-company accounts. • Lead the accounting team on corporate strategic initiatives to continuously enhance accounting and reporting practices, and improve quality of reporting and internal controls
