Staffed a fully capable Information Technology Department which had not previously existed in the organization while keeping overhead costs at a minimum. Business processes covered federal health care regulations, higher education requirements, HIPAA and associated regulations protecting personally identifiable information. Focus and attention was directed to medical staff, clients, patients, and external specialists to provide unsurpassed access to the technology tools and bandwidth required for both day-to-day operations and emergency operations. Directly lead the technical direction and training of less experienced staff using contracts and strategic plan as a guide. Implemented technology workgroups to allow open interaction with managers on all business process to technology issues related to their respective areas of oversight. Interactions normally involved matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, and external entities in business with the organization where shared resources allowed lower costs in ownership.
