Daily Duties at Bank Of America:
Analyze business requirements, then design and build new/changed IMS Databases. Develop a step-by-step script for implementing into production, perform all the necessary change control procedures using ChangeMan , Tivoli etc., then run the script to implement into production. Develop JCL to run image copies, reorganization, change accumulation etc. and implement a schedule for the jobs using CA7. Provide day-to-day support for the database system, at times providing 24x7 on call support. Ensure that problems are solved and a solution put into place within the time limit set by the relevant Service Level Agreement. Interface with collegues around the USA, in England, and in Singapore. Provide day-to-day support for BMC's Database Advisor product, educating the users of the product as it's use is increased. As problems occur, open and keep track of problem tickets with BMC as necessary.
