Plan and manage production schedule to fulfill current or forecasted orders for manufactured marble products. Direct the activities of production associates. Prepare and maintain production reports. Implement operating procedures for production operations and ensure they are being followed. Manage inventory of materials, parts and finished product to maintain required supply. Plan for future requirements based on orders, production schedules and forecasts. Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management. Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement. Monitor quality standards of product. Improve manpower utilization within existing departments and processes. Schedule stability that allows for maximum return on efficiencies. Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives. Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems. Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures. Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes. Establish and control an annual departmental budget. Establish and control business plan. Participate in hiring process and administer performance appraisals.
