Daily Duties at Florida Army National Guard, 53rd Ibct:

Principal staff officer to the commander on all military intelligence matters affecting the unit. Supervises and performs Intelligence Preparation of the Battlespace; employs automated intelligence data processing systems; develops and supervises intelligence training. Provides the commander with all-source intelligence assessments and estimates at the tactical level dealing with enemy capabilities, intentions, vulnerabilities, effects of terrain and weather. Review schedule execute, organize and conduct vulnerability assessments of unit facilities/installations. Recommends mitigation measures and provides subject matter expertise on antiterrorism exercises. Assists in implementing Force Protection Projects and programs. Ensures effective intelligence and counterintelligence support to unit security operations, e.g., antiterrorism and physical security.
