Daily Duties at Simplex Grinnell:
Manage a service department consisting of 3 service departments • Alarm and Detention Department (A&D) • Sprinkler Department • Suppression Department Responsible for 22 employees in 2 sections of the service department Responsible for P&L, forecasting, and margins of the service department Responsible for Inventory, service vehicles and supplies (tools & parts purchasing) Scheduling technicians for service calls and training to meet deadlines and code requirements Maintain customer relationships, focusing on retention of customer base. Handle invoicing and contract issues for the service department. Assist the preventative maintenance sales representative to achieve contract sales goals. Provide technical assistance, training and career planning to the employees in the service department. Perform technician semi-annually reviews and implement wage increases. Responsible for implementing safety processes and training for alarm technicians, sprinkler fitters and suppression technicians.
