Daily Duties at Magellan Health Services:
Provided initial reviews of of clinical information given by staff of provider facilities regarding the medical necessity for the level of care being requested. for behavioral health care being requested for patients who presenting in crisis. Levels of care that were requested range from inpatient psychiatric and detox to intensive outpatient. Care Management also includes entering authorizations for care at each levels. Address, assess and follow through to disposition of patients who call in on the Crisis Hotline.
