• Supervision of day-to-day operations of the finance department, including staff accountant, accounts payable and accounts receivable, of a multi-divisional jewelry and retail consulting firm. • Reported directly to President and Vice Presidents. • Prepared, analyzed, consolidated and interpreted extensive monthly and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements. • Traveled throughout U.S. offices, conducting due diligence analyses and made recommendations to company executives on potential corporate acquisitions. • Prepared executive summary reports. • Daily use of international monetary exchange rates for consolidations and international ventures. • Prepared department budgets and analyzed budget variances in cooperation with department managers and corporate representatives. • Responsible for all correspondence with and reporting by corporate representatives throughout the United States, Canada, and Caribbean. • Conducted inventory audits both internally and at consignment locations. • Direct interaction with independent auditors of “Big Four” accounting firm to insure that all financial statements complied with GAAP and met all auditing standards. • Track and reconcile commissions of independent contractors. • Use of Macola software and Lotus.
